In Memory

Sally Adams (Tipton)

Hello Classmates,

Sally Adams Tipton, One of the most loved women in our class, passed away at 10:30 p.m. Monday 05-05-2025.

Sally had been struggling with health issues for the last 3 years and last February she was diagnosed with a very aggressive form of ALS.  Sally and Dave have exemplified the marriage concept of two becoming one and these last trying months and years have been evidence of an even stronger strength and faith and love they shared.

Sally's funeral will be Tuesday May 13, 11:00 A.M., Messinger Pinacle Peak Mortuary, 8555 Pinnacle Peak Rd., Scottsdale, Az. 85255.

I sent Dave a message to read to Sally a few days ago and I will post that message in the memorial section of Sally's page.

As we grow older our appreciation of each other grows as this same fast pace.  May we all strive to uplift each other and love each other and share that love with each other at every opportunity.  God bless you classmates.

I'm deeply saddened to hear the news that God called home such a beautiful & loving angel. Sally was one of the most kindest & caring people in our class. One time while working at Strack & Van Til in Hobart, Sally called to cancel an order, I knew her voice right away. I asked her name & when she said Sally Tipton, I said, No you're not, you're Sally Adams. Then I told her who I was & when I told her who I was, she was surprised. Dave was in the hospital & when she told me, I prayed with her on the phone. She never forgot. I'll always love you Sally & never forget you. Till we meet again...

I know she'll be missed by many.
I was happy to know her.

I am so sorry to hear that Sally has gone to be with the Lord.  She was a beautiful person inside and outside.  He inner beauty only enhanced her outer beauty.  I am so sorry that Dave, their children, and grandchildren have lost the earthly companionship of such a wonderful lady.  I am blessed to have known her.

I am so saddened to hear of Sally's passing. She was a great friend all through junior high and high school. I lived in Scottsdale for years not knowing she was also in Arizona. I missed her then and again when moving back to Hobart. Sally was a beautiful and wonderful friend both inside and out. She will be missed by all of Hobart. My heart goes out to Dave and all her beautiful family. You are all in my prayers. Heaven will shine much brighter with her in it.

Oh Sally, I remember when you first attended George Earle School. You sat next to me and we became good friends. Your hair and freckles seemed to accent beauty within. I remember the time I came over to your place in the trailer court, of course I rode my bike there, and you had your best friend Belinda Billie Banister there. We ended up on the roof of the wash house in the trailer court...watching over the edge and tossing a small stone...people would wonder where they we coming from.
You were always Special to others and you were fun to be around.Im Grateful to have known you and look forward to seeing you when again in Our Eternal lives.Well done oh great and faithful servant...Dave, there is a way that you can be with Sally Together Forever...You too have done well...May God be with you till we meet again...!!!

At loss for words, but this pic from India shows our hearts eternal longings for Sally's sparkling "gold standard" personality and Godly influence to continue in our lives, like so many of our beloved who have, because of Jesus, proceeded us to the community there in heaven He has prepared for us to forever enjoy our Creator's interactive eternal continuations.

Sally made the world a better place to live in. I'm sure everyone that knew her would agree. My deepest sympathy goes out to you David.

Sally was in my Kindergarten class of 1958/59 at ?First Baptist Church?  Along with MacPherson and a buncha others of the Class of 71.  The church was on North Pennsylvania Street as I recall.

Sally always sat in front of me during story time, and I would always gently tug on her pigtails.  Why?  Why do boys tug on pigtails?  Because I LIKED HER, and like 99% of boys did not know any other way to express that emotion.

I always thought Sally was a charming woman, especially because she drove a (1969?) Mustang Fastback.

--->>> What's not to LOVE about that?

I used to tease Sally about this pigtail business at reunions, tugging most slightly at her hair.

We all miss you, Sally, Shining Star.

I was down to IU from Purdue for a PU/IU game one year and saw Sally and Sandy Longacre being cheerleaders down on the field.  I went down to talk to them for a few minutes.  When I got back to George Deal's frat section, his brothers were all over me.  They just could not believe I knew these gorgeous women. (I knew Sandy from Foreman School.)
