With a heavy heart I share the passing of Sheila Follmer-Ellis. Sheila passed early Wednesday morning Aug. 28, 2024 after a long battle with cancer spanning many years. There will be a memorial service for her Friday Aug. 30 2024 at 11 a.m. at Augustana Lutheran Church, Hobart.
Sheila worked tirelessly for our class in planning our reunions over these last 50 years. Leading up to the 50th reunion, Sheila had just battled another round with her cancer. Although she felt too weak to participate in the planning of that event, she volunteered to co-ordinate the money collection and bookkeeping of attendees. Sheila's life is one we would all do well to emmulate. She was a kind, loving, caring, giving woman. Her strength and focus and positive optimistic heart has made a strong impact on all who knew her. We have lost an amazing friend who has set a high mark as to how we should live this life in victory through faith. Corinthians 12:10 states"...when I am weak, then am I strong." Sheila has been tried for many years fighting cancer and her strength and faith and power has shone beautifully in her faith and fight. Today Sheila is more alive than ever. May God give comfort to all who knew and loved Sheila. https://www.reesfuneralhomes.com/obituary/shelia-ellis
