Linda was always a very intelligent person. She made me proud that she was such a fantastic nurse and great human being. I am sure she is missed by all who knew her.

Linda and I worked at Hobart Hospital together, and we worked with some of the greastest nurses out there.  We worked O.B. and we had to wear the scrubs they provided, it was a Catholic hosp. so we worn our scrubs forever.  Someone started this thing.  If you  scrub had a small tear or the material looked thin in area's we would chase each other around the unit grab you and rip the uniform off your body.  Big deal you think ripping off a scrub in tbe locker room.  We always waitted until you were on the floor and the more people around the more we loved.  The best was if we could get you close to the shower rooms, rip your uniform off and throw you into the shower full blast COLD.  We were young and silly!

It was a midnight shift and we thought we smelled smoke we called the house super and he said he thought it was the night to burn the trash.  5 minutes later it is stronger, 5 minutes is was stronger and we could see smoke, we called the super back who said he would check it out.  Because of Linda's fast thinking an determination we evatuated a unit of new mom's and babies and the rest of the hospital to safety as the fire was in the fire shaft effecting all floors.  She made the choice of life for those who could not that late night.
